The Natural Story of Elixir Organic Spa

Welcome to Elixir Organic Spa. I’m very passionate about healthy skin and I founded Elixir Organic Spa to share the truth and beauty of natural skincare with you.
 
My journey began back in 2001 when I suffered a horrendous allergic reaction to an 'organic' spa product. I couldn’t understand how an allergic reaction of such severity could result from something that was supposed to be all natural. Out of curiosity I researched the ingredients in the product that caused my reaction. Let's just say that I was extremely shocked. I learned that this particular product, which was labelled as "organic" was actually toxic and hazardous to my health.
 
I immediately started to search for alternatives. I wanted something that was nourishment for the skin rather than a dangerous chemical cocktail. Naturally, my first stop was the health food store. I quickly realized that most popular health food store brands contained the same toxic ingredients as the spa brand I was using.
 
Finding authetically organic products was a huge challenge. Sadly, many products on the market are falsely labelled as “natural” or “organic”. After extensive research, I was thrilled to find small artisan companies around the globe that created beautiful food-grade beauty products. It was at that moment that the Elixir Organic Spa concept was born.

Now, five years later, we have launched our own line of skincare called Chamomile Blue Eco-Organic Skincare. We called our new line "Eco-Organic" because the words "natural" and "organic" have lost their meaning. I'm hoping the term "Eco-Organic" will set a new standard in skincare because Chamomile Blue is the first professional spa line, made in Canada, using 100% certified organic ingredients sourced globally from eco-friendly and fair-trade companies. All glass packaging can be brought back for a $1 refund. We'll send bottles back to the manufacturer, where they will be sterilized, then used again and again with zero waste.

As demand for clean skincare grows, I've noticed several 'organic' spas have popped up. Although I'm thrilled to see the beauty industry going in this direction, I'm also a little discouraged with the lack of authenticity in some of these places. Please educate yourself about what it means to be truly organic. A good place to start is here. If you see any ingredients from this page listed on a product label, please know that you're NOT getting an organic product or service. Before making an appointment first visit any spa that claims to be organic and read the ingredients on their retail shelves. This is the only way you'll really know for sure whether a spa is truly organic and chemical-free.
